Tuesday, February 27, 2018: meetings with legislators. We will begin at 8:30 am and will end our day by 3:30 pm. We plan to meet with legislators who are involved in issues surrounding Education (continue discussions/encouraging financial literacy in high school curriculums); Banking and Insurance; and Government Oversight and Accountability. For this trip, we only will be meeting with legislators. For our Fall trip (dates TBD), we will meet with both legislators and regulators.
We encourage your participation in this worthwhile endeavor. Our focus as members of FPA of Florida is on advancing the profession on behalf of our members through issues that directly impact our day-to-day business. We will use this time as an opportunity to build relationships with our legislators.
No prior experience? No problem. A willingness and enthusiasm to learn is the only prerequisite. We will provide you with the materials and information needed to make the most of your visit. This is a terrific opportunity to deepen our relationships with elected officials and advocate on behalf of the profession and our clients.
And finally, if you have an existing relationship with your legislators, please indicate that on the form below.
Please complete the form below to register for the FPA of FL Spring 2018 Advocacy Day. All fields must be completed. Registration closes Tuesday, February 20, 2018.
