The History of the Financial Planning Association of Florida
The first formal meeting of what would become the Financial Planning Association of Florida was held in June of 2004 in St. Petersburg. Six local chapters and 23 members were in attendance at that inaugural meeting. They came together to begin the process of formalizing a Council that would serve as a unified voice for FPA members in Tallahassee and other joint chapter initiatives. Through the years our influence with policy makers and FPA has grown to a level where our voice is heard, where the contributions of our volunteer leaders is recognized, and the advancement of the financial planning profession in Florida is advanced.
